Columbia Midlands Soap Box Derby Spring 2009 Rally
New Rally date: November 7 & 8, 2009 in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
Additional details to follow soon!!
Last Race: March 21 and 22, 2009
Check back frequently for additional rally dates.
All racers and their teams must comply with 2007 AASBD and CMSBD rules.
There will be two races conducted each day for all three divisions during our Rally (Stock, Super Stock and Masters). The first race each day will be a double elimination and the second will be a single elimination. The cost is $100 for all four races on both days or $30 per race if less than four races are run. Black or white Z-glass wheels will be permitted. A timer will be used and each heat will have an A and B phase. A 2-4-2 wheel swap will be utilized. Two wheels will be swapped prior to the A phase after a random draw to determine which wheels to swap. The wheels swapped will either be LF-RR or RF-LR. The A phase, lane 1 driver will draw to determine which wheels to swap. After the A phase, 4 wheels and lanes will be swapped. After the B phase, you will be returned your remaining two wheels. Random weight checks will occur throughout the day. We strive to have a safe, smooth, fair, and fun race and welcome any comments that will enhance our operations.
Registration Forms
The registration form is to be completed in the shaded areas (except for the last two which CMSBD Derby personnel will complete) and signed by the driver and parent/guardian and mailed to CMSBD with your registration fee and the signed Rule Acceptance Form. Be sure your registration form fits on one 8.5 x 11 sheet.
One original will be needed for each participant. Indicate in the upper right corner which day and which races they will participate in. This form will be sent to Akron so please write neatly.
